The Red Cross has two national awards that may be used to recognize individuals who have saved or sustained a life of another person. The awards are the Certificate of Merit and the Lifesaving Award. Many of our award nominations come from American Red Cross instructors and partners who become aware of life-saving actions taken by their colleagues or former students. We have released an online form for individual instructors to complete should they wish to submit a potential nomination.
