Modified Bloodborne Pathogens Training Fact Sheet

The Bloodborne Pathogens Training Fact Sheet has been modified to remove references to two transmission methods (respiratory droplet and vector-borne) that while related to the transmission of pathogens, are not related to the transmission of bloodborne pathogens. A related modification was made to the relevant page of the Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor's Manual — specifically, the lesson objective on p.9, now states "List two ways bloodborne pathogens can enter a person's body". In the previous version, it stated "List four ways…".

No other changes were made to the instructor's manual or course materials.

Access the updated Bloodborne Pathogens Training fact sheet and Bloodborne Pathogens Training Instructor's Manual on the Bloodborne Pathogens Training program page on Instructor's Corner. Students may download the fact sheet from redcross.org.
