New Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Course Now Available
The Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector course has been updated and is now available in either a classroom format or a convenient 30-minute online format. The course covers how to recognize and respond to an anaphylaxis emergency, including administering an epinephrine auto-injector. It also provides a more in-depth review of the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and discusses when a second dose of epinephrine may be appropriate.
The course may be taught by currently certified instructors in the following programs who orient to the new materials:
First Aid/CPR/AED
CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers
Emergency Medical Response
Lifeguarding
Wilderness and Remote First Aid
This course may be taught as a standalone course or as an add-on module. To get started teaching the course, visit the Anaphylaxis page. The existing Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector course may not be taught after December 23rd.
